Stroke

A stroke, or transient ischaemic attack (TIA), can have a life-changing impact on a person. But it doesn’t just impact the individual – it has effects on the entire family.
We will work closely with your family, district nurse, hospital, GP and other healthcare organisations to develop a stroke care plan that suits your needs. Your district nurse can also still attend to provide additional stroke support as needed
Whether it’s help with physiotherapy exercises, mobility or household tasks such as preparing meals and cleaning, our carers are trained to support as you require. And throughout the stroke rehabilitation process, you or your loved one will get all the motivational and emotional support needed to restore confidence.
Our stroke support workers can also help with sensitive personal care issues – from toileting and bathing to washing and continence care. As well as looking after your physical needs, our carers are around to offer a listening ear – to share interests with the people they look after.
